When your drums wearing out the printer will let you know it needs to be replaced, so you'll need to order a new one. When you open the print the drum and cartridge are removed together, you'll see a clip on one side, it's normally blue, move this clip to un-clip the toner cartridge from the drum and then carefully take the toner out. Then get the new drum slide the toner into it and move the clip to clip in into place. The new drum and the toner can now be inserted back into the printer as one. And that's it, job done! You can use the compatible 1050 drum unit along with a compatible or original toner, it'll still work just the same either way.

The compatible DR1050 drum is packaged in its own boxes so it can be stored for up to 6 months without their quality or performance being affected.
