Can Canon ink cartridges be recycled?
The short answer is yes, we have two different recycling schemes depending on the type of cartridge.
-Cartridges containing the printer head can be filled/remanufactured. Any cartridges that fall under this category are part of our free recycling scheme. This means you will get a recycling bag with your order. Once your cartridges are empty: simply pop them into the bag and send them off to our recycling partner.
-Even cartridges that are not part of the aforementioned can be recycled with us. The recycling does come at a cost to us at Stinkyink, so we do ask that you pay for your own postage to take advantage of this. Alternatively, most schools and supermarkets will have recycling schemes available.
Can you refill Canon ink cartridges?
These cannot be refilled at home, please see above for information on how we can recycle your empty cartridges.
Can you use other ink cartridges in a Canon printer?
Sadly no. Cartridges all have a unique contact chip designed to be read by specific printers. Having said that, our compatible cartridges will work with Canon brand printers.
