This Samsung MLT-R358 Imaging Unit is quoted as doing up to 100000 pages before needing to be replaced.
The page yield is calculated by manufacturers using ISO/IEC 24711 standards, where they print set documents of 5% page coverage until the cartridge is empty. The standard means you can compare yields between cartridges and manufacturers.

The SV167A is the same product as the MLT-R358, just with a new code, and will work in the same printers!
This is an original Samsung MLT-R358 imaging unit. This imaging drum has been made by Samsung themselves to work flawlessly with your Samsung laser printer.
The R358 drum can process up to 100,000 pages before it will need to be replaced so it won't need to be replaced as often as your toners but you do need to replace it when the printer tells you to keep everything in good working order.
