This High Capacity Canon 041H Black Toner Cartridge is quoted as doing up to 20000 pages before needing to be replaced.
The page yield is calculated by manufacturers using ISO/IEC 24711 standards, where they print set documents of 5% page coverage until the cartridge is empty. The standard means you can compare yields between cartridges and manufacturers.
Product description
With the Canon 041H toner, the drum is part of the toner itself, giving you one less part to replace and maintain. This also makes replacing the toner quicker and easier, as there's no taking the empty toner out of the drum, it's just a straight swap.
Replacing the toners is a a few quick steps, simply open the lid of the printer and remove the emptys. Then dispose of any packaging from the new toner just slide the new toner into its slot using the handle on top, until its sat correctly.
The 041H toner is packaged and sealed into it's own box by Canon, so if you're not ready to start printing with it straight away, you can store it for up to 6 months with out its quality being compromised.
