Haven't yet tried with the Canon but first results with the Epson are good printing with compatible cartridges.

Canon A3 LU-101 Luster Paper - 20 Sheets
Superb results in colour and black and white using Canon inks and Canon Pixma i 8750 printer. Results are as good as lab printing I think.

inkjet printer, even if you use 'compatible'ink. Canon paper is among the best available, and perfect in my Pixma 5300.
