This Samsung 505L Black Toner Cartridge is quoted as doing up to 6000 pages before needing to be replaced.
The page yield is calculated by manufacturers using ISO/IEC 24711 standards, where they print set documents of 5% page coverage until the cartridge is empty. The standard means you can compare yields between cartridges and manufacturers.

HP purchased Samsung's toner business in November 2017, taking the handy step of giving new codes to selected products.
The SU168A is the same product as the CLT-K505L, just with a new code, and will work in the same printers!
This is an original Samsung 505L black toner cartridge. Original means this toner is brand new and has been made by Samsung from scratch.
The toner can print up to 6,000 crisp black and white prints before it will need replacing, make it ideal for use in a small to medium office.
Replacing the toner is a simple job and takes no time at all. If you open the front cover of the printer you'll see the toner tray, pull it out towards you. The empty toner can then be lifted up and out. Unbox the new toner and remove the tape and carefully shake it from side to side. Then put it into the tray, push the tray back into the printer and close the cover door. Job done!
The 505L original black toner is packaged in its own box so if you're not ready to use it straight away you can store it for up to 6 months. Don't worry this won't affect its quality or performance.
