Due to this cartridge being a genuine Canon that has been used once, then cleaned and refilled, it won't give you ink level readings.
This means you won't get an alert when the cartridge is empty, so can just print until your print quality begins to fade. There's no risk to your printer, it's simply an unavoidable part of the refilling process and saving you money.
When you install the cartridge all you need to do is hold the Stop/Reset button for 5 seconds, and you'll be ready to print!
|Page Yield||400 pages|
4.2p per page
This value is calculated from manufacturer's estimates of how many pages a cartridge will print, and should only be used to compare cartridge running costs.
Page yields are estimated using the ISO standard of 5% coverage on a plain A4 page, which is roughly the length of a short letter.

Customer reviews for the Refilled High Capacity Canon CL-541XL Colour Ink Cartridge
Great results,,,would recommend
Easy installation, seems to give good quality printing. Only one bug is that this cartridge does not tell my printer that I have changed the cartridge and sends a low ink message on start up .
This is a common side effect of refilled cartridges. You should be able to remove this error by holding down the reset button for 15 seconds. This si the one with the red circle on with a triangle in the middle of it.
If you can't print or you have any further issues please do let us know and we can resolve that for you.Answered by Bethan Owen (staff member) - December 12, 2018 09:27
Works as if the original, so happy!
I have used Stinkyink refills since which? recommended them. They work fine in my Canon pixma MX475. The latest colour refill CL-541 cartridge is no exception. Easy to install (same as genuine Canon). I was told there may be issues with rejection by my printer, but no other action was required. All working perfectly as usual - thank you
Installation simple - print quality great on my Canon printer - only 2 failed ink cartridges since using them
& these were rapidly replaced FOC - what more can you ask for from such a reputable company. Recommend others not to look at any other company but this one.
These cartridges work perfectly on my Canon printer, and produce good depth of colour and excellent shade reproduction

How many photos 4x6 will it print
This is impossible to answer really as it all depends on what you print and how much colour is on each page. With these cartridges, if one colour runs out you have to replace the cartridge. It will not work with one colour empty.Answered by Roy Hamilton (staff member) - August 22, 2016 08:49
my printer won't recognise that I've just replaced both ink cartridges, black replaced also. Have I missed something obvious please? It still states that I'm out of ink and won't reset.
Thanks in advance - Kath
Sorry the cartridges are giving you a low ink warning. As these are refilled cartridges the contact chip on the cartridge (small metal/gold chip) thinks they are still low from their first use.
To clear the error all you need to do is send something to print and then when the error pops up, hold down the cancel/resume button for 5 seconds before releasing it. This is the button with the orange circle on with a orange triangle in the middle. This will disable the ink monitor reader for you and allow you to print again.
