Answered by Jasmine Meddows (staff member) - August 21, 2024 09:45Very disappointed as when I put the ink cartridge I purchased lt did not work the first print I done the blue come out as pink and I look up what could be a the problem and seen it might be the cloged ink or the colour is block I tried all them except to cut open the cartridge .but my cartridge has not worked and have had to purchase an new one sorry .this cartridge is lying here no good

Use our 'Check this ink fits your printer' box at the top of this page to confirm this cartridge is suitable for your printer model. In most cases the model number is written on the front of your printer.
Note: These cartridges will only work in printers purchased in the UK and Europe. Printers purchased outside of these zones will have different coding and electronics.
How much ink is in a Canon PG-545 and CL-546 Refilled cartridge?
We don't advise on the number of millilitres, as not every cartridge prints using the same droplet size, so two cartridges for two different printers may both have 5ml of ink, but one will print more than the other. Instead, more accurately, the industry standard is based on printing 5% of an A4 page.
How many pages will this Canon PG-545 and CL-546 Refilled cartridge print?
This is known as page yield. The number of pages you'll be able to print depends on the cartridge you purchase and the kind of printing you do. The page yields shown higher up the page are based on printing 5% of the area on an A4 page.

Will an XL cartridge still fit in my printer?
If you choose a high-capacity (XL) version of this cartridge it will still fit in your printer. The size of the cartridge is the same, but they are just filled up more to provide you with extra prints, often at a substantially lower cost per page printed.
What is a refill cartridge?
These are refilled Canon cartridges which means they have been used once previously before being reconditioned and refilled with ink, making them a more environmentally friendly option that still provides the print quality you need.
Do the cartridges display ink levels?
As these are reconditioned Canon cartridges, there is a small chance that ink levels will show the last level status. This does not affect the functioning of the cartridge, but should you have any queries, do not hesitate to contact us, or look at our Ink Reader Level Guide, should you need help.
Are these cartridges easy to install?
Yes, these cartridges are just as easy to install as the originals. Make sure the required clips have been taken off, along with the clear (usually blue) tape that covers the metal panel on the underneath of the cartridge, and then slot the cartridge into your printer. Do NOT remove the brown tape that is connected to the contact chip.
