The 653A magenta cartridge is filled with HP's cleverly designed ColourSphere toner powder; this has been specially designed to give your prints a professional, glossy finish as well as making the highest quality, consistent prints. The toner can be mixed and matched with other original toners, compatible/refilled toners and toners with a different page yields. This is great as it means you can use the cartridges which best suit your needs. You'll see your HP Laserjet has a waste toner collector just to the side of where you insert the cartridges, when this is full the printer will let you know and all you need to do is replace it with a new empty one to keep everything running well. These particular HP toners all have a drum attached to them, this is the part that prints the toner into its shape, this means you'll never need to replace a drum on its own and you'll get a new drum with every toner. This will keep your printer in tip top shape too!
