This Konica Minolta A162WY1 Waste Toner Box is quoted as doing up to 45000 pages before needing to be replaced.
The page yield is calculated by manufacturers using ISO/IEC 24711 standards, where they print set documents of 5% page coverage until the cartridge is empty. The standard means you can compare yields between cartridges and manufacturers.

The waste toner box will not need replacing every time you change your toners, your printer will give you a warning when it needs changing and this will usually be around 45,000 pages (@ a 5% coverage).
Replacing the unit is very easy, open the front door of your printer, the toner collector is the black unit facing you. On the sides of the printer are two blue clips that you push in and the unit will come free, remove this and replace with the new unit and push to click it into place. Easy peasy!
