Stinkyink Editor Team

Welcome to the Stinkyink Editor Team. Read on to meet the lovely writers we have who keep our blog fresh and active.

John Sollars

John Sollars is the owner and MD of Stinkyink.com.

He started the business in 2002 with absolutely no knowledge of how the internet worked – only a burning desire to be in on the cutting edge! Stinkyink.com has been regularly among the top performing companies in Shropshire as winners and runners up in the Shropshire Chamber of Commerce Best Business competitions.

The business has been recognised by both Investors in People (IIP) and also British Standards Institution (BSI) with ISO9001:2008. John is passionate about business and especially small businesses. He is a regular blogger and contributor to blogs about Printing, Small Business and Search Engine Optimisation. Don’t anger him, he’s the boss!

Matthew Bird

A BA (Hons) graduate in business finance from Durham University and 10-year member of Mensa, Matthew Bird heads up the research, analysis and reporting division at Stinkyink.com.

He is the author of numerous helpful articles found on their printing blog and mixes a keen interest in technology and business operations with sporting and club commitments outside work.

Incredibly competitive, his posts are naturally better than yours would be, and any news he finds is (probably) better than your news.

Huw Carrington

A recent gruaduate from Portsmouth University, Huw Carrington heads up the Sales and Customer Division at Stinkyink.com.

Author of the acclaimed What is 5% page coverage? article, he is the driving force behind Stinkyink’s ISO 9001 status and a firm advocate of high Quality Management standards.

He couples these responsibilities with an active interest in the local youth community and is a member of numerous sporting clubs. He is also really, really annoying and it is probably best if you keep any chat to him limited to occasional emails.

Michael Derges

Michael is a writer and researcher for Stinkyink.com.

He has a wide range of interests including racquet sports, bike riding and amateur photography. He puts the Geek in Stinkyink, and is your go to writer for anything entertainment or gaming based.

World domination will loom once a Printer-based Game is released.

Andy Warburton

Andy Warburton is a Web Developer for StinkyInk.com, a leading supplier of printer ink and toner cartridges in the UK.

Andy has been building websites since 1996 when he first fell in love with the Internet. Andy is incredibly passionate about crafting awesome user experiences and is never happier than when he’s up to his elbows in CSS, HTML and Javascript.

Andy is a huge Apple fan and the main source of Apple posts on our Stinkyink blog. He would appreciate it if you refer to him as Steve Jobs in any future conversations.

Chris Rails

Chris Rails is a technology writer who is passionate about the printing market and a very regular contributor to the Stinkyink.com Blog.

An Advocate for conversion rate optimisation and focusing efforts on improving anything and everything for the customer, he is a shy ol’ fellow who, though hard to get hold of, is an unending source of information once collared.

He does not appreciate songs written about him, and is very sensitive about the amount of words that rhyme with his surname.

Robert Williams

Robert Williams is the Head of I.T. at Stinkyink.com.

Known as “The One”, he has an all-encompassing knowledge of programming, web design and development.

He doesn’t often post, but when he does you best make sure you sit up and listen! He also loves it if you talk to him about Magento.
