Apple Release a Flurry of Updated Printer Drivers

It has just come to my attention that Apple have rolled out a new Software Update for OSX Lion and it’s older brother, Snow Leopard entitled “Canon Printer Drivers v2.7″. Interestingly, aside from the titular Canon Printer drivers, the update also includes updates for printers by Samsung, Ricoh, Gestetner, Lanier, Infotec, and NRG. The update comes in. Read more...

Visographic opts for Ricoh Pro C901 Graphic Arts Edition

US graphic communications company Visographic has taken delivery of a digital printer from Ricoh that uses the firm’s new toner cartridges. Printer and toner cartridges manufacturer Ricoh has won one of the top prizes at the International Green Awards 2011. The Ricoh Sustainability Optimisation Programme scooped the silver award in the Best Green Service Innovation category, recognising a service that the company says minimises resource use and is “truly sustainable”. IBM and Ricoh form new Printer company

A company formed from IBM’s printing division has begun operation as a separate entity. InfoPrint Solutions was announced in January, when IBM revealed that it would partner with Ricoh to spin off its Printing Systems Division into a new company that would progressively be absorbed into Ricoh.
