What are the best Apple Airprint printers to buy Apr 18, 2013 10:49 by Matt Bird
If you’re just after alist of Apple AirPrint devices then look no further than Apples official website, which is continuously updated with compatible AirPrint models.
If browsing a gargantuan list isn’t your thing and you’d like some pointers then here you go. Just remember to buy ink cartridges for your new AirPrint printer from Stinkyink :)
The best Apple AirPrint printer for your money…
Out of all the AirPrint machines we’ve seen so far, the range of Canon MG printers takes the big ‘W’ and our recommendation. Unless your printing needs far exceed an inkjet printer there’s no reason to look past the top-rated Canon MG5350 printer.
It offers multifunction features, reasonable up-front purchase cost, stunning photo prints, beautifully crisp black prints, fantastic compatible cartridges and simple, hassle-free printing. The biggest recommendation I can give is it’s the printer I’ll buy once my HP conks out :)
You can unlock more features the higher up the Canon MG trail you go, or even look at the standalone printers that don’t offer scanning in the Canon IP range of printers, but we’d definitely point you towards the MG5350.
The best Apple AirPrint printer for your office…
For 4,000 pages or less a month, with a wide range of printing demands and speed-is-key attitude…
HP have released a fantastic new range of Officejet Pro X printers that utilise a page-wide printhead to give you stupendously fast prints. Think up to 70 pages per minute actual speed, not just quoted… it’s fast!
They’re affordable, easy to set up, offer great functionality and are ridiculously quick. With minimum maintenance needed and a simple “buy this replacement cartridge to keep it running”, they’re fantastic machines. The only downside is the prints aren’t as bright as some laser printers, but the quality is still very good!
For heavier duty users using over 4,000 pages a month…
Are you certain you need AirPrint? The printers able to offer large volume printing and AirPrint compatibility is very limited, and it is probably worth considering a heavy duty printer for your normal office requirements, and a separate printer for your AirPrint needs.
The best, cheapest Apple AirPrint printer for a budget…
Epson is still dominant in the budget printing channels as long as you’re willing to use compatible cartridges. The vast majority of their new budget home printers in the Epson XP range are AirPrint compatible, with best-selling models like the Epson XP-302 offering great value and reasonable running costs at a low up-front price.
They’re great for standard document printing, dedicated photo printing and anything in the middle, so you’ll be hard pressed to find a better budget option.
