As part of a new partnership, printer ink firm Konica Minolta has teamed up with KIP and produced two new monochrome wide-format printers.

The companies claim that the KIP 700m and 7100 devices both offer consumers in various sectors efficient scanning, copying and printing solutions.

On top of this, Konica Minolta stated that the machines have been designed to offer consumers a high-quality range of document workflow solutions to minimise capital expenditure while maximising the application portfolio for each service.

Jonathan Wilson, market development manager for the company, said: "With these new wide format printing devices from KIP, we are able to offer our customers a holistic solution to their document imaging needs.

"Our strategic partnership means we can offer our customers KIP wide-format printing systems designed to deliver unrivalled performance and value to meet the increasing demand for fast, high quality and cost effective wide format document capture and reproduction," he added.

Furthermore, it was noted that there is a colour upgrade available for both the 700m and 7100 models for its scan, copy and print options.

Marketing manager at KIP, Grainer Hill, stated that under this new partnership his firm can grow while working alongside Konica Minolta.

He added: "We are delighted to be partnering with Konica Minolta under this strategic alliance, working together to bring KIP products and expertise to the rapidly expanding Konica Minolta customer base, extending and strengthening our coverage throughout the UK across all market sectors."

Recently, Konica Minolta launched its Optimized Print Services (OPS) programme, a business concept designed to help manage organisational requirements locally, centrally or globally.

According to the printer ink firm, the OPS has been created to help reduce costs, drive efficiencies and increase productivity within the office and in-plant document production areas.

Yuki Kobayashi, managing director of Konica Minolta, said: "The OPS programme redefines Konica Minolta as a true service provider taking a holistic approach to customer requirements based on customer intimacy and adaptive workflow solutions tailored to customer needs."
