HP has announced plans for a printer ink delivery service to address consumers' evolving print needs.
The company has stated that it will be partnering with Conde Nast to develop new digital content distribution solutions which provide customers with rich content quickly.
Furthermore, HP hopes to set up a pilot subscription service, HP Instant Ink, which automatically delivers replacement printer ink cartridges to customers.
The company stated that the initiative would provide the products to people at home or at work, making it convenient for them to use and delivering potential cost savings.
Furthermore, the Conde Nast pilot programme will allow subscribers to schedule the delivery of content from their favourite brands directly from their printers.
It would help to develop the print-to-home feature of the system that will let people to order titles such as Allure, Details, Glamour, Golf Digest and more.
Stephen Nigro, senior vice president of inkjet and web solutions at the Imaging and Printing Group of HP, said: "Our work with Conde Nast creates a new channel for customers to access the content they want from some of their favourite publications.
"And, when coupled with our scheduled delivery service, allows customers to get the content they want, whenever they want it.”
Julie Michalowski, senior vice president in consumer business development at Conde Nast, stated that the new HP pilot programme would mean that they can have their favourite content at their fingertips.
Recently, HP announced a new speed upgrade for its Inkjet Web Press at the Graph Expo 2011 tradeshow.
The company claims that a faster Colour Print Module imprinting imager can improve the quality and document production times on its machines.
According to HP, this upgrade can help the efforts of providing users with high-end production lines that contribute to streamlining operating environments in various organisations.
Jan Riecher, vice president and general manager in Graphics Solutions Business at HP, said: "HP is committed to creating solutions that help print service providers address their customers’ changing needs and provide tangible business results quickly."
