Infodynamics releases its INTACT software for Canon MFPs October 20, 2011 12:00 by Andy Warburton

Infodynamics has released its new INTACT document solution for Canon's MEAP platform devices.

The company claims this latest innovation has been developed to expand the capabilities of multifunction office products (MFPs) in various businesses.

According to the firm, its new service is a feature-rich and economical solution that can be integrated with Canon's imageRUNNER and imageRUNNER ADVANCE MFPs.

Furthermore, businesses that use the INTACT product can utilise the scan, print, store and fax capabilities of their printer ink devices through a number of applications, including Android and Apple machines and many other business critical products.

“With customers seeking new ways to increase employee productivity and harness the numerous capabilities of the Canon imageRUNNER and imageRUNNER ADVANCE platform, Canon is pleased to add INTACT to our expanding range of MEAP based document management solutions," said Sam Yoshida, vice president and general manager in imaging systems group at Canon.

On top of this, it has been noted that the INTACT document solution can offer easy-to-use, powerful functionality for MFPs in the office.

Christopher Lupton, chief executive of Infodynamics, said: "Our MEAP implementation of INTACT will open up a wonderful opportunity for our customers and dealers alike.

"INTACT offers extensive document management capabilities that create a whole new avenue of document efficiency for business," he added.

Recently, Canon and Oce launched two new production printing systems developed jointly by the two firms.

The latest printer ink devices include a monochrome production machine with Canon finishing and scanning technology, and a high-speed colour multifunction system with Oce's controller software.

According to the companies, the new series of imagePRESS black-and-white printers can help provide solutions to meet an increasingly diverse market demand in the UK.

Furthermore, the Oce PRISMAsync controllers have been developed to enhance the high-speed capabilities of the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C9000 Pro series' success.
