HP has launched a new range of Scitex digital wide-format printer ink devices to boost the productivity of print service providers (PSPs).

According to the company, the latest products also allow users to handle more applications with greater versatility, allowing them to meet the growing demand for short run jobs.

The first of the new devices is the HP Scitex FB7600 Industrial Press, designed to provide PSPs with a high-quality device with a variety of productivity enhancements, including in-line saturation controls, hot folders and job queue technology.

On top of this, HP's new FB225 Scitex Inks can be used in the machine and allow consumers to provide greater finishes.

UK-based Image Factory has trialled the new technologies from the printer ink firm.

Tim Boore, head of digital technologies at the company, said: "The new features of the HP Scitex FB7600 Industrial Press make it possible for us to offer both speed and quality at a competitive price.

"We were pleased with the previous inks, but the new HP FB225 Scitex Inks offer increased flexibility and have expanded our application versatility," he added.

As well as these new innovations, HP has also unveiled its Scitex XP5500 Industrial printer, which it claims is ideal for high-volume PSPs requiring a reliable 24/7 printing solution.

On top of this, the company has released its Scitex XP2500 Industrial Printer, designed to offer consumers low-cost document production solutions and high-speed print times.

"As the leader in industrial wide-format graphics, HP is helping customers transition from analogue to digital printing and take advantage of higher value pages to further grow their businesses," said Xavier Garcia, general manager at Scitex wide-format solutions at HP.

"With these introductions, our customers can go after these pages with the confidence that HP digital solutions will deliver the productivity, versatility and reliability they demand.”
