Canon start to include Apple’s Airprint in their new printers September 22, 2011 14:00 by John Sollars

Canon start to include Apple’s Airprint in their new printers:It can be difficult to get the content you want printed from emails or photos on your iPad, iPhone, or iPod onto  a hard copy. Generally, if you have a printer that lacks printing from mobile devices natively you need an email account you can forward to before you can print them up, and following hot on the heels of Epson’s announcement that their new printers will include a native app to enable iPod, Iphone and iPad users to print directly to their printers, Canon have also followed suit.Canon has announced that several of its Pixma printer models now support Apple AirPrint for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod models. AirPrint support is now offered on the: printers. That means you can print anything from photos to email, web pages and documents with no need to mess with drivers or apps. AirPrint natively allows you to print that sort of document. You will need to update the firmware on the printers to support the new feature though. With the firmware installed, you will be ready to print your documents. The iOS devices need to be running iOS 4.2 or later to print.

Any idea why I can't find any of these printers for sale online is it a store only special or something?

Hey Andy, I've amended the printers to the Canon UK Pixma printer numbers and they are all available now. Thanks for pointing out the error
