EU office workers understand business benefits of colour printer ink August 30, 2011 08:58 by John Sollars
European office workers understand the business benefits of colour printer ink devices, according to research by Lexmark.
The firm's report revealed that over 50 per cent of employees believe documents look more attractive when they are not in black and white and over two-fifths think it promotes a more professional approach.
However, over two-thirds of office workers noted that their business produces less than 25 per cent of all its paperwork in a colour format, with almost 50 per cent of respondents citing printer ink costs as the main reason for this.
Gary Bourland, country general manager at Lexmark, said: "We offer various options to control these costs and reduce unwanted colour printing, both via the setup of colour devices like defined colour darkness setting as well as using colour print permissions, defining who in a company has access to colour devices."
Lexmark recently noted that its T650 range of printers can be improved by adding a modular scanner onto the devices.
