Lexmark Printhead Issue Escalates August 12, 2011 12:56 by Matt Bird
A recent report by DigitalVersus has highlighted the Lexmark Printhead issue not getting any better, slashing it's reviews and recommendations down to 2 stars due to a growing number of complaints.
Following on from the huge outcry at a Lexmark firmware update and the long-delayed response from Lexmark, the company is now stuck in an escalating issue of failing printheads in their flagship printer range.
These all take brand new lexmark ink cartridge ranges, which have experienced significant investment, and is representing quite an embarrassment to the company.
How do I know if my Lexmark Printhead is Experiencing a Problem
You'll notice significant changes in your print quality, anything from miss-matched colours to streaks in the prints can be an indication of a faulty printhead.
Lexmark has announced the issue comes from faulty batches of printheads fitted to some printers (not that this explains why some customers have experienced multiple faults), so don't panic too much if you feel you have been affected.
What can do I do if I have the Printhead problem?
UK customers are being advised to contact 0207 365 2496 and explain the issues they are experiencing.
Lexmark have said they are aware there is an issue, and is making every attempt to address them and provide replacements.
According to DigitalVersus and our own customers feedback however, there are some individuals experiencing delays in receiving a replacement, so if you do have any trouble then please do let us know below.

Having pulled my hair out for hours trying to discover what I'd done wrong when installing a new set of Inks into my Pinnacle Pro901 I found your Blog - YESSSSS!!!!!!!
I called Lexmark and spoke to a nice lady in the Phillipines who confirmed it was a known fault and they are replacing it asap and sending a complimentary set of Inks.
Thanks for your help.
