Samsung announced as WorldSkills London 2011 sponsor July 28, 2011 13:21 by Huw Carrington

Samsung Electronics is to be the premier sponsor of WorldSkills London 2011, which is the largest international skills competition specifically for young people.

The company will be speaking at the World Leaders' Forum and will be also be taking part in the opening ceremony and awarding medals at the closing ceremony.

Dr Ji Oh Song, executive vice-president and senior advisor at the Samsung Electronics Mechatronics and Manufacturing Technology Centre, said the company was glad to be sponsoring the event.

"Samsung is pleased to have the opportunity to help develop the world's best talent and inspire future generations of skilled, high-quality professionals," he commented.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Canon is the ninth global partner of the UEFA Euro 2012 tournament.

It will join other sponsors such as Orange, Sharp, Coca-Cola and Carlsberg at the event in Poland and Ukraine next year.
