HP WebInspect Real-Time gets its debut July 28, 2011 10:04 by Chris Rails

A dynamic application security testing solution has been released by HP, known as WebInspect Real-Time.

The company claims that the system can more accurately pinpoint security vulnerabilities by working alongside HP Fortify SecurityScope, which is able to locate line-of-code detail.

Brian Chess, co-founder and chief scientist at Fortify Software, an HP Company, said that efforts are being made to locate security problems as early as possible in the development process.

"Now through HP WebInspect Real-Time, we're able to combine static and runtime analysis with dynamic security testing in meaningful ways in a single solution, allowing our customers to find and fix these issues even earlier than before," he commented.

Research published by HP earlier this week determined that having the most up-to-date technology in an organisation enables its staff to feel empowered.
