Lexmark printer 'is good for home offices' July 07, 2011 14:14 by Rob Williams

A Lexmark model has been recommended to people who want a device that is economical with printer ink and suitable for medium usage.

Justin Yu, writing for CNET, said the Lexmark Prevail Pro705 is attractive and offers a useful set of features for those who operate a small office at home, including wireless connectivity and an autodocument feeder.

Although he acknowledged that a different model may be more suitable for people who wish to print out lots of photographs, the reviewer said the Prevail Pro705 will otherwise be "a helpful office assistant".

Mr Yu went on to praise the streamlined design and the "impressive" five-year warranty the model offers.

Anyone keen to economise and save the environment at the same time may also be attracted by the fact that Lexmark includes an extra-large sample of one of its black ink cartridges in the box.

"To our knowledge, Lexmark is the only printer vendor to provide this service," Mr Yu remarked.

Lexmark states on its website that the Prevail Pro705 is suitable for colour copying, colour printing, scanning and faxing and has a 33 page-per-minute print speed in draft mono.
