HP enters into outsourcing agreement with Wartsila Signs June 30, 2011 15:21 by Chris Rails
A variety of technology infrastructure outsourcing services are to be provided to Wartsila Signs by HP, as the two companies have signed a new agreement.
The HP Best Shore global delivery model will be used in a bid to provide better flexibility and efficiency to the company.
Mika Sarhimaa, managing director of HP Finland, commented: "HP will deliver the flexible technology environment Wartsila needs to drive cost efficiencies while maintaining its innovative nature and enabling growth."
He added that companies such as Wartsila rely on having a competitive advantage in order to stay ahead in their respective fields.
Earlier this month, HP announced that it had been successful in legal proceedings against two companies it believed had infringed the patent rights of its printer ink cartridges.
The US International Trade Commission ruled that MicroJet Technology Co had directly infringed the patent and that Asia Pacific Microsystems had a contributory role.
