Ron Howard joins forces with Canon for marketing campaign May 28, 2011 12:31 by Chris Rails

Canon is launching a brand new marketing campaign entitled Long Live Imagination, which has led it to collaborate with one of Hollywood's top directors.

Ron Howard and Canon are asking people to submit photographs based on film themes for Project Imagin8ion, which are then to be used to inspire a Hollywood short movie.

"This project embodies everything the Canon brand represents in innovation, technology and the arts," commented Yuichi Ishizuka, executive vice-president and general manager for the imaging technology and communications group at Canon.

He noted that Ron Howard proved to be the perfect choice for the campaign, due to his ability to turn the "unbelievable into reality".

The popularity of ink cartridges for Canon and other such products may be boosted, as the manufacturer recently received eight accolades at the Business Equipment Research and Testing Laboratories Awards.

For example, the Best Departmental Color A4 MFP was awarded to the Canon Color imageRUNNER C1030.
