Business owners who need a new printer and want to make the most of cheap toner cartridges could consider two new models offered by Xerox.

The company has unveiled the Phaser 4600 and Phaser 4620 models, which are designed to replace the 4510 in its black-and-white printing portfolio.

Offering printing speeds of between 52 and 62 pages per minute, the models will fit in well in busy office environments, according to Xerox UK marketing manager Malcolm Glynn.

"These two new printers are ready to keep up with any busy office or workgroup," he said.

As well as printing on ordinary white paper, the Phaser 4600 and Phaser 4620 can work on card, envelopes and transparencies. They also both feature a security function that can electronically shred sensitive information stored on the hard drives.

Meanwhile, the laser toner cartridges and fusers are split so that consumers get the best value for money.

Xerox recently launched a new website called Open Xerox in an attempt to involve its customers in designing new products and services.
