Printer firm Lexmark celebrates 20 years in business March 31, 2011 11:06 by Chris Rails
People who regularly buy printer ink for Lexmark devices may be interested to hear that the company recently celebrated 20 years in business.

Originally created as a spin-off of IBM in March 1991, the firm has since grown to become a leading name in the printers and peripherals sector in its own right.
October 1994 saw the firm unveil the first ever 1,200 x 1,200 dots per inch laser printer, while it also became the pioneer of the two-in-one printer for digital photos in 1998.
Lexmark added to its green credentials in January 2004 when it began collecting empty ink cartridges to recycle as part of what was originally known as Operation ReSource.
Company president Paul Rooke said he thinks the brand's success has been down to its leading products and excellent customer relations.
"I am excited about the market opportunities ahead and believe Lexmark's expanding technology base and deep customer insight will continue to serve us well in the years to come," he added.
Earlier this month, Lexmark announced that the Genesis S815 4-in-1 printer had been given the prestigious red dot award for its design quality.
