Epson committed to delivering energy-efficient printers February 28, 2011 14:23 by Chris Rails
Users of Epson printer ink have been advised the company is still committed to delivering eco-friendly printers.

According to Epson, it is "continuously" working to ensure its printers are as energy-efficient as possible.
The firm said it wants its devices to satisfy all the requirements laid out by the Energy Star programme, a measurement of just how energy-efficient appliances actually are.
Epson stated that by working to produce more environmentally-friendly products, it can help its customers reduce their impact on the planet.
"Energy-efficient performance is now often mandatory in both government and private procurement," it commented.
The company added that power consumed by devices such as printers while they are in use "represents a large part of the product's total environmental impact across its life cycle".
Epson's green credentials were recognised recently when it was handed the 2010 DEVNET award by the Japan DEVNET Association.
This gong is given to companies or individuals who support sustainability in emerging economies.
