Kodak printer ink users to benefit from new strategic agreement February 25, 2011 16:53 by Chris Rails

Kodak printer ink users could enjoy multiple benefits after the firm unveiled a global distribution agreement with Konica Minolta.

The deal applies to the companies' cut-sheet digital printing systems and will be valid in markets such as the UK, the US, France and Japan.

Both firms are hopeful that it will be good news for their respective customers and allow them to access the "most complete portfolio" of digital print products and solutions on offer.

Philip J Faraci, chief operating officer at Kodak, said: "We understand the needs of our customers.

"Kodak is proud to offer the Konica Minolta portfolio along with our proven cut-sheet print solutions."

Konica president Akio Kitani added that his company is excited about the long-term prospects of the deal.

He said the global distribution agreement will help them respond to the growing demands and expectations in the production print sector.

The move comes after Antonio M Perez, chairman of the Eastman Kodak Company, hailed its digital portfolio as "highly competitive".
