Canon gears up to showcase new Pixma office printers January 07, 2011 14:53 by Chris Rails

The Canon Pixma series of printers has established itself as a firm favourite with users of cheap ink cartridges.

But the manufacturer isn't resting on its laurels just yet, as it is continuing to expand the range and aim to steal a march on its competitors.

At the moment, it's planning to showcase the new Canon Pixma MX882 Wireless Photo All-In-One device at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show.

The technology firm has hailed the device for offering quicker printing, copying and scanning to users.

Indeed, it noted that a high quality 4" by 6" photograph can be printed off in about half the time its predecessor could manage.

Canon also said navigating through the gadget's menus and functions is far easier than it was before, thanks to its Dual Function Panel.

In addition, the Pixma MX882 offers a two-way paper feed, Auto Duplex copying and five individual tanks for Canon ink cartridges.

This comes after PrinterComparison.com noted that printers in the Pixma range accounted for six of the top ten most viewed devices on its website last month.
