Royal Mail Delivery Information December 29, 2010 15:20 by Matt Bird

Updated 29/12/10
General Synopsis Royal Mail services are recovering well across the country today, following the recent disruption caused by severe weather and large volumes of mail posted in the run up to Christmas. We are now delivering to almost all customers as services return to normal, although in some isolated areas we are continuing to deal with very large volumes of mail and some access difficulties. Areas where recovery is taking us slightly longer include some parts of Scotland, a small number of addresses in the SA, CF and LL postcode areas of Wales, Colchester and Chelmsford, the SE postcode district of London, as well as a limited number of addresses in parts of North East and North West England.
Here's a reminder of our service arrangements over the New Year period:
| Wednesday 29 Dec 2010 | Normal deliveries and collections |
| Thursday 30 Dec 2010 | Normal deliveries and collections |
| New Years Eve - Friday 31 Dec 2010 | Normal deliveries. Saturday time collections from pillar boxes and Post Office® branches. Business collections by prior arrangement only |
