HP Continues to dominate the Printer Market December 07, 2010 11:54 by John Sollars

Hewlett Packard widened its lead in the printer market in the U.S. and worldwide, according to IDC.

IDC on Monday reported that there were 31 million printers shipped in the third quarter, up 13 percent from a year ago. Shipment value was up 17 percent. That tally puts the printer market at the same levels as before the recession.

Here’s the scorecard that highlight’s HP’s scale. HP primarily benefited from strong laser printer sales.

So all the doom and gloom merchants out there should take note – the Printer market is back to where it was before the recession
