Best value Epson ink cartridges November 29, 2010 15:10 by Matt Bird

Epson recently announced that of the 75 million globally shipped inkjet printers in the 2009 fiscal year, roughly 19% of them were Epson! These 14.5 million printer sales are expected to grow into 2010, with Epson forecasting close to 16 million sales.

With the bulk of revenue in this market coming from printer consumables and not the printers themselves, expect to see a significant growth in revenue attributed to original Epson ink cartridges.

A shift in the printer ink cartridges market?

With inkjet sales having declined significantly since 2007 (when it peaked at 92m units), and HPs continuing dominance in the printer market, it is refreshing to see such strong reports from a reliable performer such as Epson.

With easy-to-understand cartridge ranges like the original T0715 ink multipacks, commonly known as the cheetah ink cartridges, solidly performing printers such as the Epson stylus family, and both original and compatible Epson ink cartridges of the highest quality, it may be that HP are looking over their shoulder in a couple of years.
