Local Support from Stinkyink July 09, 2010 14:19 by Matt Bird
My previous blog post mentioned exciting times happening at Stinkyink: Fibre optic cables and brand new office furnishings to help us maintain our excellent service throughout the huge growth the business is experiencing. But Stinkyink staff aren't the only ones feeling the benefit of Stinkyink owner John Sollars (aka Mr Stinkyink). I have heard the term "finger in many pies", which always gets me hungry. But what if they were charitable funding and sponsorship pies?
A quick overview of the main good causes we take part in:
Funding for Alveley Church concerts
Funding for Shropshire Drama Company (SDC)
Funding for Ironbridge Gorge Charitable Trust
Funding for British Red Cross
(Doesn't that look nice?) In addition to assisting with global charities and events, such as our Haiti fund appeal, we work hard to support Alveleys youth cricket team.
Alveley Youth Cricket Team
I do not explain things well, so here is information from Cricket Club chairman Richard Twigg!
Alveley Cricket Club’s junior programme is proving a big success thanks to local company Stinky Ink. Junior training continues on a Thursday evening at 6.15pm. During the summer holidays the club will be running summer fun camps for children aged 5 to 16 years of age.
He added "We are delighted to have Stinkyink as one of it's sponsors". The company has contributed to training costs for coaches along with purchasing equipment for the club.
Located a short 10 minute walk from our offices and warehouses, it is great to be providing for a local youth event that is so worthwhile. Below is a picture of Mr Twigg and Mr Stinkyink with two members of the lucky junior side.
Maybe we will be responsible for the next Caddick and Gough..... Atherton and Trescothick.... or maybe we can just help some kids have a great time through summer and beyond. Eitherway we are more than happy to continue providing funding for this great cause.
