StinkyInk Haiti Appeal January 26, 2010 14:17 by Matt Bird

We would like to thank all of our brilliant customers who donated. A brilliant response was seen over the weekend period. Your donations alone raised just over a massive £1250 towards the Haiti cause.

With our contribution matching your own, the final figure raised is £2500 !! If you missed out and still want to donate, visit http://www.dec.org.uk/item/410 and join us in helping those in need. Thank you all again so much for helping us send out valuable aid, a great response.

We don’t think the Haiti earthquake needs any introduction, we would just be repeating the terrible facts we have all been privy to since the life changing event occurred at 16:53 on the 12th of January.

We feel as a company we have a responsibility to provide aid for the lives that need rebuilding in Haiti now the rescue effort is closed, and with such a brilliant customer base we are so proud of, we are sure you want the opportunity to help too.

We have long been mulling over how much to send, you cannot put a price on a humans standard of living or the recovery from such a traumatic event, and selecting a figure seemed to us an attempt to put a scale on the reconstruction efforts which are immeasurable to those of us living safely in the UK. This lead us to thinking about the other generous folk out there trying to help, and that we are what we are thanks to our customers. So we want to match – and hopefully encourage and expand – these heartfelt efforts of our loyal clients. So...

From this Thursday the 28th, through to midnight Sunday, we will be running our own Help Haiti Fund.

Located on our sites donation page for the Haiti Reconstruction Fund  is a donation product, which when purchased will add a £2.50 donation to your basket.

For EVERY order we receive utilising the £2.50 donation, not only will 100% of this charge go to the Haiti Fund, but we will match it with £2.50 of our own. As many donations as you make, we will match. If you purchase 4 donations - £10 - we will match the £10.

We encourage the generosity to not stop here – for further donations please visit

http://www.dec.org.uk/item/410

and donate whatever you are comfortable with.

Thank you.
