Brother launch worlds first A3 Colour inkjet Multifunction printers October 21, 2008 13:55 by John Sollars

Brother Industries have just released their (and the industries) first A3 Multifunction inkjet printers.  In a Brother-MFC-6490CW ground breaking move, Brother have used their 'Tube Engine Technology' developed specifically for the commercial segment, the A3 MFC was downsized by separating the ink cartridge from the print head and connecting them via an ink supply tube, which has made miniaturization possible.  In addition, the print head has two lines for black, which improves the output speed as normally commercial products print more black than colour.

The Brother DCP6690CW and its partner the Brother MFC6940CW are both Wi-Fi enabled incorporate a 50 Sheet ADF (Automatic Document Feed), dual paper trays with up to 400 sheet total capacity and are capable of printing at up to 35/28 pages per minute on black/colour.  As you would expect the pritner has available standard and high yield ink cartridges which are four colour which means you only have to replace the one that is empty.
